March wrap-up

Happy last Friday of March everyone. This month absolutely flew by and I’m sure that April will be just as quick. Let’s take a look at some of my March goals and how I did on them.

  1. Read 2 books- I ended up only reading one, but still better than nothing and I may read a second one this weekend as the next book on my TBR is pretty short!
  2. Actually get things done over Spring Break- I was sick during almost all of Spring break but I got everything I needed to get down and then some so I will call that a success
  3. See my friends over Spring Break- As I said I was sick, and I literally saw not a single friend of mine, Whoops, get that’s what summer’s for.
  4. Go to bed earlier- During the week I’m doing pretty well with this, but weekends are a different story. Still better than my previous months so another win
  5. Finish ALL final projects (that I can) so I don’t have to worry about them in April- One of my big final projects was canceled so I didn’t have to work on that. My other project for Marketing I haven’t worked on too much but it’s only a three-page essay and I’m making baby steps.
  6. Reach my step goal (12000 steps) 6 days a week minimum- I have definitely been doing great about this. I have hit my step goals at least 5 days a week (except during break because I was sick) but I just need to work on being a bit more active during the weekend.
  7. Do some Spring cleaning of my dorm and take home stuff I don’t use/need- II brought a lot of stuff home over Spring break and my family is coming next weekend so I’m going to make them schlep some other stuff back home for me as well!
  8. Get outside and enjoy the weather- It’s been cold all of March… I’ve been inside for most of it, unfortunately.

Did you get everything you wanted to get done during March?

The joys of spring cleaning

Happy Monday everyone! This upcoming weekend my family will be heading down to visit me for Mom’s weekend. Because of this, I’m going to be sending some things home so that my dad’s car isn’t packed to the brim as it was when I was moving in. Before Spring break and since returning my roommate and I have cleaning quite a bit and I wanted to share a few of my favorite things about Spring cleaning.

  1. Feeling instantly like you have your shit together- there is something about vacuuming and swiffering that makes me feel like I have my entire life together. Until I do, doing these things often will suffice.
  2. Feeling cleaner in general- The smell of cleaning supplies will always make me feel clean. Even if I literally just wiped down my desk with a Clorox wipe, I immediately feel like I just bathed in hand sanitizer
  3. Finding old things you forgot you had- Just last week I found a shirt I thought I’d lost when doing laundry and it’s always nice to find things you thought you’d never seen again.
  4. I can breathe better- Dust, mold, etc. can build up after a while and just cleaning it up and opening a window I can immediately breathe better and what’s nicer than that?
  5. I get motivated- with the end of the semester hitting me like a ton of bricks and completely questioning my education (coming soon) something as simple as cleaning up my bedroom can make me feel motivated to finish this semester strong and not give up.

Do you guys like Spring cleaning? Why?

Spring bucket list

Ok, now back to your usual content… all things Spring!

Keep an eye out the next few days for a pretty large life update. Until then, I wanted to share my Spring bucket list with you all!

  1. Do some Spring cleaning- My parents are coming next weekend to visit and I’m going to have them take home everything I don’t use/don’t plan on using for the rest of the semester so there are fewer things we have to bring home in May
  2. Go kayaking (and don’t fall in)
  3. Go to Athen’s farmers market- this is something I told myself I would do since August and I still haven’t. I really want to check it out and see what this all has to offer.
  4. Visit a conservatory- Conservatories make me so happy with all of the lush green, flowers, flowing water, and breathing is sooo nice I love it.
  5. Complete a 5k- This may not happen in the spring because I have yet to sign up for one but I do want to complete a 5k because the last time I did was 4 years ago?
  6. Create a journal- My sister has this really cool leather (hoping faux) bound journal that she writes in, draws in, and puts magazine clippings in and it looks so cool and I want to make something similar!
  7. Go to a concert- my roommate and one of our friends are planning on going to an AJR concert in a few weeks!
  8. Finish this semester strong- I currently have straight As so with one final push in these next 5 weeks I’m sure my grades and future self will thank me.
  9. Have a bonfire- there is something so relaxing about bonfires on crisp nights when it’s still light out and that’s one thing I cannot wait for when I get home
  10. Get my nails done- After a long long year, this is something I totally deserve and yes. I’m going to ‘treat myself”
  11. Ride my bike
  12. Go to a baseball game
  13. Have a great 21st birthday!

What are on your Spring bucket lists?

Women’s History Month

Happy Monday everyone. For those of you that don’t know, March is Women’s History Month. Most of us will learn more about women of history during this month than ever in a textbook, however, I wanted to share some very influential women who you still probably won’t hear about this month EVEN THOUGH YOU SHOULD.

Murasaki Shikibu- Born in 978, was a famous Japanese poet and novelist during the Heian period. She is credited for writing the first ever novel The Tale of Grengi which took somewhere around a decade to write around 1000-1012.

Sarah and Angelina Grimke- 2 sisters that were both activists for abolition AND women’s rights. These two were raised in South Carolina in the cradle of slavery who, after witnessing and its cruel effects, traveled around the country educating youth on the truths of slavery.

Benazir Bhutto- The first and only woman to head a democratic government in Pakistan or any Muslim majority nation.

Claudette Colvin is a pioneer of the Civil Rights Movement. On March 2, 1955, she was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on a bus in segregated Montgomery, Alabama, nine months prior to Rosa Parks’ famous arrest for the same offense

Mildred Ella “Babe” Didrikson Zaharias was an American athlete who became very successful at golf, baseball, track and field, AND basketball, She won two gold medals in track and field at the 1932 Summer Olympics, before turning to professional golf and winning 10 LPGA major championships.

Definitely look more into all of these amazing women! There are so many more who didn’t make it on this list who also helped pave the way for the women today

March goals

Happy March everyone! I am pumped that it’s March because Spring is right around the corner and who oesn’t love Spring?????????? Anyway, as always, here are my goals for the month. Some are the same as my other months and some are different. Get ready 😉

  1. Read 2 books- As mentioned in my February wrap-up post, I didn’t read a book last month so I want to read 2 this month
  2. Actually get things done over Spring Break- I have plenty of homework to do over Spring Break and since I’ll be home for 10 days, I should have ample time to get it all done
  3. See my friends over Spring Break- With that being said, I also need to make time to see all of my friends… and snuggle my dog/
  4. Go to bed earlier- I am going to have some wake up at 5am days this month so obviously I’ll have to get to bed earlier so that I’m tolerable
  5. Finish ALL final projects (that I can) so I don’t have to worry about them in April- just one less thing to worry about during the hectic finals time
  6. Reach my step goal (12000 steps) 6 days a week minimum I was soooo good with this these past 2 weeks (probably because of this lovely weather) so I need to keep getting out there and active
  7. Do some Spring cleaning of my dorm and take home stuff i don’t use/need- I want moving out to be as painless as it can be so I’m going to try to bring some stuff home for break and then have my family bring things home when they come for mom’s weekend so I have a lot less things to trek home at the end of the semester
  8. Get outside and enjoy the weather- last week it was 80 degrees so let’s hope this continues on!

Those are my March goals, do you have any? If so, what are they?

February wrap-up

Happy Wednesday everyone! Can you all believe that today is the LAST DAY OF FEBRUARY???? I sure cannot. It felt like February was a week long. Well anyways, I will be on my way home in 1 week for Spring Break and then by the time that is over, March will be half over and then I’ll be almost done with my first year at OU. Time is flying by and it’s so crazy. Well, let’s see how my February went in terms of my goals.

  1. Go to everyone CHAARG event (if my schedule permits)-I  went to every CHAARG event except one and it was because I had a work conflict
  2. Make a list of every assignment I have that’s due before Spring Break  so I can start getting head-I did this and I’ve been slowly but surely making my way down that list of things I have to do before and during Spring Break.
  3. Pick up more shifts at work!- I picked up 1 shift this month. Every single shift that people are asking off for I cannot take it. UGH
  4. Drink 64 oz of water- Same as every other month. Some days I hit it… other day I do not.
  5. KILL my interview I have next week- I think i did pretty well with this goal. I only messed up one question but I was able to recover from it. I still don’t know if i got the position but I will keep everyone updated.
  6. Read one book- Ugh this one didn’t happen but I’m going to try to read 2 books over Spring Break to compensate for this.
  7. Less screen time that isn’t for school!- I’ve been doing better but there isn’t really a way for me to measure this. However, i feel like I’ve improved.
  8. Workout every single day- For almost every day this month I’ve hit my step goal. There are only a few days (usually Sunday) that I’ve been very sedentary but I’ll work towards that this next month!

Well, that was my February… how was yours??

Review: Gearbunch Leggings

Happy Friday everyone, sorry about my absence. I’ve been busy with midterms and job applications but here I am. It is currently pouring outside and I have a class in 2 hours. So,  I figured I would write a bit to pass the time.

A few weeks back, I was contacted by the company GearBunch, a company that specializes in custom leggings and other various customized apparel. Their prices range for leggings from about $85- $120. Gearbunch was lovely enough to send me a pair of leggings to review! So, that’s just what I’ll be doing today!

I received the Black and White Mandala leggings from Gearbunch (different from the B&W Mandala leggings which is what I thought I asked for haha), which are white with black print (as opposed to the other which is black with white print with a different design).

P.S. I apologize in advance for not using my own photos. My camera is doing this thing where NONE of the pictures are clear (unless they’re super close up) so bear with me.

First, let me say that I am normally an all black leggings kinda gal or like a little bit of mesh on the side and call it a day. These leggings are the complete opposite. With intricate designs (mine were probably one of the most simple designs they had) of all shapes and colors their website just makes you want to get creative. I definitely do like the patterns available and might start branching out and trying other patterned leggings in the future!

Anyway, these leggings are so comfy, sort of squat proof (I did 2 squats, one with black underwear and one with like a light purple and the black ones were a bit visible which was expected since they are white pants but the pair with the purple were not but I never wear black underwear with leggings anyway just in case), and super cute!

The only negative thing I have about these is that the inseam on the legs is done really simply. I always appreciate a sturdy inseam on leggings especially when they’re super expensive because on some of my cheaper leggings they tend to rip at the thighs which is so sad ++ I would HATE for that to happen to some more expensive leggings. Obviously, I can’t say that will happen as I have only worn them twice but it does make me a tad nervous that it might happen in the future.

Note the thin inseam

All in all, I am a huge fan of these leggings! I was a bit hesitant on the white but they have definitely grown on me! I wore them to yoga last week and a lot of people asked where I got them from. So, Gearbunch, hope I got you some new customers and thank you for the leggings!

I would definitely recommend checking them out sometime!

Check out my 3 favorite pairs (1 2 3)

Are you more of a simple leggings person or are you all for designs??

A guide to my February horoscope

Afternoon everyone, one of my favorite things to do is check my horoscope. I don’t really believe that astrology is a thing but it’s always cool to look at and to see if what the stars predict actually happens. So, let’s take a look at my horoscope for the day, week, month, and year!!

Feb 9, 2018 – Your ability to concentrate will be enhanced today, Gemini. If you have studying or detailed work to tend to, this will be an opportune time to get to it. Hobbies that require a lot of focus may also strike your fancy. Even if a herd of stampeding elephants runs through your space, you aren’t likely to lose your concentration. Pull out your most intensive tasks and have a great day.

This better happen because I have a huge lecture (6 hours) happening later and I need to concentrate as much as I can. I’m also going to try to get some homework and get to the gym after that so let’s hope. Will update later

Feb 5, 2018 – Feb 11, 2018 – Are you looking for adventure? If so, this week’s backdrop could coincide with an encounter with someone who has an engaging idea. They may suggest a trip or an opportunity to explore new ideas or traverse fresh terrain. On another note, getting support from someone for an idea of yours can be crucial to having the confidence to go ahead. Be sure to talk to him or her about it. Finally, as lovely Venus enters Pisces and your career sector on Saturday, you may find that charm is the key to progress.

Well, I applied for 2 jobs this week and interviewed for one so I REALLY hope the job thing is true. Not too many adventures for me though sooooo

February 2018 – This month has no full moon, but February 1 is the day after one and February 28 is the day before one. Expect people to be energized and emotionally engaged at the beginning and end of the month. For the new moon (and solar eclipse) on the fifteenth, your world could get bigger and give you more room to move and breathe. It might be time to finally start something special that you’ve been putting off. It won’t be a matter of money that has been delaying you. You could see a dream come true when Mercury conjoins Neptune on February 25.

I think that’s so cool that February has no full moon. On the 15th I’m actually doing yoga with a group of girls so maybe that will give me even more room to breathe as well.

2018- Welcome to bustling, beautiful 2018, Gemini! You’ll have the chance to connect with more people and engage in more new situations as never before. It’s also a year for you to start many new projects and begin exploring new avenues in life. On the day before the sun enters Gemini, Venus enters charming, popular Cancer. Mars has just entered big-thinking, clear-headed Aquarius, and Uranus has just entered methodical, materialistic Taurus. Expect 2018 to bring you improvements and some changes of direction in your social life and career. You could step into a new world.

I have been excited for 2018 especially considering 2017 was so phenomenal. I’m really hoping there are some great changes for my social life and career. Let’s see and I may update this at the end of the month!!!

Do you guys believe in Astrology? Why or why not???

February goals

Happy February everyone! Crazy that we are already 1/12 of the way through 2018. Anyways, most months I like to start off by sharing a few goals I have, whether that be drinking water or something school related. Here are my goals for February

  1. Go to everyone CHAARG event (if my schedule permits)- 2 times a week is all, it’s just getting the motivation to go!
  2. Make a list of every assignment I have that’s due before Spring Break  so I can start getting head- I did this last semester for the last month of school and it helped so much knowing exactly what I had to do for every class but I think it would be too overwhelming to make one for the rest of the year, so until Spring Break for now
  3. Pick up more shifts at work!- I’m trying to have no shifts during finals and then take off another before Spring break but to do that without getting strikes, I need to pick quite a few shifts.
  4. Drink 64 oz of water- This is on here every month and it’s just a reminder!
  5. KILL my interview I have next week- I applied to be an RA on campus next fall and I got to the interview stage! I have my interview in a week from today so I’m terrified but excited!
  6. Read one book- As mentioned in my 2018 intentions, my intention is to read one book per month!
  7. Less screen time that isn’t for school!- I feel like I’m glued to my phone or computer all the time and I really want that to change
  8. Workout every single day- Whether it’s for CHAARG, yoga, a walk, or the gym, I want to do something

Those are my goals for the month of February. What are yours?

❤ Alicia ❤

January reflection

Good afternoon all, hard to believe the month of January is over. This month feels like it was 5 seconds long, especially since classes started. It’s been an interesting month. From starting this new semester to my self-love challenge, and just being a very busy bee.

Normally at the beginning of each month, I make a list of goals I have for the month (my Feb goals will be live tomorrow) however, with the new year I just made my list of 2018 intentions. So, let’s see how I’m doing on my 2018 intentions so far!

EVERY DAY
> 1 hour of journaling//meditation//reading-  I suck. I’ve been doing okay at writing but the only reading I’ve been doing is my homework. So, I’m still reading and learning but nothing pleasurable so I need to work on that.
> 64 oz of water- I’m trying my best but I don’t think I get 64 oz. Most days I get 40 oz or so but I need to work on getting 64 or more
> Exercise: whether that be the gym, yoga, a walk, etc.- I’ve discussed my gym anxiety recently, but I have been going on walks and taking the long way to and from class so I’m getting moving!

EVERY WEEK
> Coffee//Lunch//Workout with someone… Ideally, a different person per week- It definitely hasn’t been a different person each week but I have been getting lunch and working out with people, usually, 2-3 per week which is good!!
> Write: My goal is to write weekly, maybe 3 times- Well this month I wrote every damn day! Next month though I’m going to cool it down a bit to have more lengthy and content-filled posts so I think 3 times a week is a goal for me next month!

EVERY MONTH
> Read one book: I read a book this past weekend. The 4 Agreements. It was super good, and next month I want to read the sequel. Might review it sometime this month once I’ve read book 2!
> Discover a new podcast series: I definitely didn’t do this one this month. I think it’s because of my constant writing and getting into the groove of school. If any of you have podcast recommendations, let me know!!!

How did you guys do on your goals this month?

❤ Alicia ❤

If we were having coffee

Good afternoon all. Whenever I don’t post for a while or it’s nothing about my life, I like to make ‘life update’ posts. However, I saw that Jamie and a few others write posts called “If we were having coffee” and I thought it was genius. So, instead of my ‘life update’ posts I figured I would write something like that. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and hear about my life as of late.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that all of these self-love posts (and your comments) have been making me feel amazing! I’ve been feeling pretty positive and have been loving myself more than ever! Still, have a long way to go, but as I’ve said before… baby steps!

If we were having coffee… I would tell you about how my spring semester is in full swing. It’s been great catching up with all of my friends from last semester and getting back into the groove of things. Homework and projects have been a lot already but I’m enjoying all of my classes and all of the learning!

If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I’ve been really working on my fitness this month. I haven’t been to the gym every single day or not eaten chocolate at all, but I’m really working. I’ve been feeling great and even though my anxieties about the gym are in full swing as always, I’m getting in workouts (gym or home) when I can.

If we were having coffee… I’d ask you if you believed in global warming. It’s 50 degrees here in Athens today and in my honest opinion, it shouldn’t be this warm. It’s January and I’ve been outside in leggings and a sweatshirt. I want to know if you believe in global warming or if it’s fake news created by the Chinese.

And if we were having coffee… I would ask how your day is going or tell me something that you love about yourself (in the spirit of my challenge). So let me know! 🙂

Tarte Cosmetics review

Howdy everyone, hope everyone is doing well. Over winter break I bought a few Tarte products and thought I would review them. I did another tarte review a while back and a lot of people seemed to enjoy it, so why not make another one.

Tarte always has the best sales (which is when I buy from them usually)  randomly so whenever they do I grab what I can. For this haul, I got the be happy. be bright. be you. set, the 3-in-1 frxxxtion stick exfoliating cleanser, and the no makeup magic beauty essentials.

While this is all I ordered, I also received the Swamp Queen eye and cheek palette by mistake. This actually happened to be the last thing I purchased from tarte as I got it for my sister for Christmas, so now we both have one! Now, onto the review!

be happy. be bright. be you.

Okay, for this one, If I’m being honest the main reason I bought this one was for the bag. It’s super cute and I LOVE the “be happy be bright be you” quote on it. Now, just because I loved the bag, doesn’t mean that I don’t also love the products it came with.

Highlighter duo- I’ve always been a girl that likes to glow. However, I’ve never tried cream or liquid highlighters so both of these sides were a first for me. I was SHOCKED by how pigmented these both were (liquid was more so) and a little went a LONG way. I’ve been wearing the liquid on my cheeks and the cream on my nose and upper lip (it’s easier to keep it in a small area) and I am in love!

Lippie duo Everyone knows there’s not been a lipstick I’ll turn down and these are no exceptions. I’m not much of a lipgloss person but I’ve been putting the gloss over the lipstick and it looks super cute (in my opinion haha). They’re both nude colors which I love (especially in Ohio because I can look put together and nice without people being like “why do you have so much makeup on”).

Blush- I’m not really going to review the blush because I’m not a blush person. My cheeks are rosy enough I don’t need them to stick out any more than they already do

Ready. Set. Radiant. Setting Spray- I never realized how important setting spray is until you use it and your makeup still looks good after 10 hours. It smells amazing (kind of like wood and citrus and mint) and keeps you looking good all day.

Sweet Tarte perfume- I’m not usually a gal who likes sweet and girly scents (I’m more of a natural perfume wearer) but this smells so good! I wouldn’t say it smells like sweet tarts the candy but it does smell fruity just good???

3-in-1 frxxxtion stick exfoliating cleanser- I reviewed this one in my last review but it was so good that I got it again! I have very sensitive skin so I don’t exfoliate a lot to keep my skin healthy and not dry but when I do, I use this! It’s sort of on the small side so if you exfoliate a lot I might not get this but if you do it more sparingly like me, this is for you! After I use this, my skin isn’t dry, itchy, or red AND it’s so soft! This is by far my fave skincare product they have 🙂

No makeup magic beauty essentials

This was another set that consisted of the brighter days highlighting moisturizer, and a lip quench. I really wanted to try the moisturizer to see if it would work well with my skin but didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on the full size one in case it irritated my skin or I just hated it.

Brighter days moisturizer– I love this. Once I finish buying books (kill me) I’m going to definitely grab this in the full-size option. It’s got little glitters in it which is what adds the highlighting aspect and it leaves you (me anyway) moisturized WITHOUT BEING SHINY which is so hard for me to find.

Lip Quench- this ended up being very moisturizing I just wish it wasn’t as tinted. The color is nice (sort of an orange-brown) however, I would’ve liked a more muted color or to be able to pick the color that came with the set.

Swamp Queen eye and cheek palette- As I mentioned before, I got this palette for my sister for Christmas. First of all, this smells heavenly. Most eyeshadow palettes smell like eyeshadow. Nothing special This palette smells like birthday cake or frosting and honestly, I’d buy it just for that! As for colors, I really like them all and the contour and highlight colors are good for my skin tone, but not for many others, which stinks for those of you who aren’t super fair skinned.

I’m always wanting to get better at makeup and I can’t wait to get experimenting with this palette!!

All in all, I loved all of these tarte products!

2018 intentions

Hi everyone, so happy 2018 again. Now I know most people make New Year’s Resolutions and usually I am one of them, however, this year I’m going to be making intentions. I’ve mentioned the organization I’m involved with at school, CHAARG; well the founder of that organization makes intentions, which inspired me to the same. Basically, you make an intention(s) you hope t do daily, weekly, monthly, and then for the year. She also puts a quote that she wants the year to be like, so I’ll do that as well. Here are my 2018 intentions.

EVERY DAY
> 1 hour of journaling//meditation//reading
> 64 oz of water
> Exercise: whether that be the gym, yoga, a walk, etc. Anything to get my heart rate up and my body moving

EVERY WEEK
> Coffee//Lunch//Workout with someone… Ideally, a different person per week
> Write: My goal is to write weekly, maybe 3 times, I would love to write daily but I’ll be a little less optimistic to start

EVERY MONTH
> Read one book: I got 6 for Christmas and I have many more on my TBR so let’s hope I can keep up with it.
> Discover a new podcast series

THIS YEAR
> Vacation: I’d obviously love to go more but I’m trying to save as much money as I can
> Take care of my physical and mental health

2018 QUOTE
> “She designed a life she loved”
> “I just really want to be the warm yellow light that pours all over everyone I love”
> “You just have to surround yourself with people that have the same heart as you”

What are your intentions for the year?

Alicia

2017 in review

Happy New Year everyone! I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting over the past few days and weeks and I really wanted to review my past year. It’s been quite a rollercoaster of a year and has simultaneously been the best and worst year of my life if that makes any sense whatsoever. So, here’s my 2017 in one post

January started off pretty rough because we had to put my dog down. But it ended on a good note because I had finally convinced my family to let me go to Peru.

In February I visited Ohio University for the first time and fell in love with all that Athens and OU had to offer. I immediately could see myself as an OU student and the day of my visit I found out I had been accepted and I was pumped. At this point, however, I still hadn’t made my decision although I sort of always knew I’d end up in Athens

In March I got to see my absolute favorite bands perform live, and was 10 feet away from Brendon Urie. It was a great night with great friends and great music and I am so thankful for one of the best nights of my life

The best month of my life and year. I spent the entire month of April in one of the most amazing places on the entire planet, Peru. I spent is the month with some amazing people, amazing food, amazing views, and some not so amazing sunburns but all in all, April was one of if not the best month of my entire life.

If April wasn’t the best month of life, May took the cake for that. During May, I went to Cusco, climbed Rainbow Mountain, went to Machu Picchu, decided on a university, and adopted my dog, Poppy. The entire month of May was a plethora of great news and amazing memories

Happy Birthday to me! In June, I turned 20 and had a great birthday weekend doing some of my favorite things, registered for my first semester at Ohio University, and went to a few great concerts with some great people.

July was a pretty irrelevant month for me. It was filled with more concerts, which are always fun, but all in all nothing too extravagant. We also started Poppy’s heartworm treatment and I spent a week sleeping on the kitchen floor with my sweet girl. It was rough for her but we made it through

August was my last month at home and filled with a lot of puppy kisses, seeing friends, and a road trip to Tennessee for the eclipse. The month ended with one final road trip to Athens to start school at Ohio University. It was a rough start but I had high hopes for my semester especially since I also got my first real job!

With classes in full swing by September, I joined CHAARG at OU and met amazing people and got a visit from my family. I also got some fish (RIP Adam and Adam the 2nd) with my roommate and we really started to get to know each other!

We got our final batch of fish (that are still living) in October. I also went home for a weekend which was nice to relax and see Poppy. I also donated blood (it was Olivia’s first time), started studying my butt off and got the chance to relax at the end of the month with Halloween.

November started off strong with a visit from my dad for Dad’s weekend, and OU’s first basketball game. I then was lucky enough to become the Treasurer of 4 Paws for Ability on campus, which is an organization that helps match service dogs with those who need them. Most of that month involved studying my but off so it was then nice to destress with a trip home for Thanksgiving. When we got back from break, my sink became filled with sewage and it took a few days, but finally, maintenance was able to give us a sewage-free sink.

What a weird time to meet new people. In December I think I met more people than I had all semester. It was also finals week which kicked my ass and then I was able to further my belief that men are trash (maybe not all men but the ones I attract sure are). Then was Christmas and New Year’s all here we are now,

That’s my 2017, and I loved a lot of it, even though it was one of the most difficult years of my life, it was also one of the best. Can’t wait to see what 2018 holds.
